The Design Educates Awards recognize, showcase, and promote globally the best ideas and implementations of architecture and design that can educate. An esteemed panel of judges looks for an additional benefit with long-term implications that takes into account the increasing complexity of our lives, both now and in the future. Something that will have a lasting influence beyond the everpresent effects of design and architecture. The host of the Design Educates Awards is Laka Foundation (nonprofit).
In a number of intensive workshops held over a period of several months, the pupils of both schools developed and discussed ideas and variants, from which they elaborated a generally approved colour concept for the new building shell. For the different pedagogical focuses of the two schools and the pupils with so many different talents, their cafeteria is a place that does justice to society’s intense desire for inclusion and makes it possible to grow together by living together.
