In January 2023, Markus Hammes accepted the appointment as Professor of Architecture at the IU Internationale Hochschule at the Frankfurt campus. The entire team congratulates him on his appointment!
In 2001, he founded his own office, hammeskrause architekten, in Stuttgart together with Nils Krause. At the University of Stuttgart, he held a teaching assignment at the Institute for Building Materials, Building Physics, Building Systems and Design (ibbte) from 1997 to 2005. From 2010 to 2014, he was a member of the ifbau institute board of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects. He was appointed to the Association of German Architects (BDA) in 2011, and from 2012 to 2016 he was the first chairman of the BDA district group Stuttgart/Mittlerer Neckar. Since 2012 until today, Markus Hammes has served as DGNB consultant for new laboratory buildings at the German Sustainable Building Council (Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen DGNB).
