During a joint trip to Darmstadt we had the opportunity to experience two of our own projects live on the Merck campus. For many colleagues from the office it was the first time they had seen the buildings not just as models or on a screen but in person. It was an impressive moment that filled us with pride.
We visited the Translational Science Center (TSC) and the LS-QC laboratory and office building. Both of which are important components of Merck’s site. The TSC will provide space for internal training, laboratories, and technical areas in the future and its flexible structure will open up a wide range of possible uses. The LSQC on the other hand combines state-of-the-art workplaces for research, quality assurance, and administration. Thus forming a strong architectural response to the requirements of a dynamic science location.
The tour was not only technically exciting but also a special experience that brought us closer together as a team. Architecture becomes tangible here. In its truest sense.
A big thank you to Merck for giving us the opportunity to experience our work from this perspective and a special thank you to our team for their dedication.
