We are pleased to announce that the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has officially awarded the contract for the new building on the South Campus. With the successful outcome of the VGV tender process, we can now move the project into the next phase and transition from planning to concrete implementation.
The new building will be a central component of the planned campus expansion in the southern area. It will provide urgently needed research and workspace for various natural science and engineering institutes at KIT. In addition to modern laboratory and office spaces, the building will offer open areas for exchange, collaboration, and interdisciplinary work—an important contribution to the spatial development of the science hub.
Located on the southern edge of the existing campus, the new building blends into a growing university-oriented environment and strengthens the functional and spatial connection between existing and new research clusters.
We look forward to collaborating with KIT and further developing this significant project for the future.
