In an Interview, conducted via Livestream, Nils Krause answers questions about the central Design idea and the special challenges faced by the Architects.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sustainability in construction<\/em> <em><strong>\u2013 <\/strong><\/em>The special research priorities of the Fraunhofer IWKS have provided important impulses. The new building in Hanau was constructed according to the guidelines of the Assessment System for <em>Sustainable Building for Federal Buildings (BNB)<\/em>. Together with our client we are striving for <em>certification with the BNB silver status<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Designed for deconstruction<\/em> <em><strong>\u2013 <\/strong><\/em>The ability of the materials used to be deconstructed and sorted according to type is a prerequisite for a <em>resource-efficient circular economy<\/em>, or <em>Cradle to Cradle<\/em> (C2C for short).
