The new building is an expansion of the existing Isotope Laboratory and is constructed as a compact structure. From a technical-operational and economic point of view it was advisable to link the two buildings in terms of both space and function. Regardless of this, the new isotope laboratory will also have all spatial and technical features necessary to function as an independent unit.
The isotope laboratory is wrapped in a homogeneous structure of semitransparent profiled industrial glass, thus contrasting the neighbouring university buildings characterized by their architecture of prefabricated elements. The material’s translucent effects endow the building with lightness and depth alike.
