The Windlab of the University of Oldenburg is presented on three pages in the current Ernst & Sohn special issue Forschungs- und Laborbauten (Research and laboratory buildings).

The centrepiece is a modern turbulent wind tunnel with an exceptionally long measuring section, which provides a unique basis for research into wind energy both nationally and internationally. The compact cubic volume of the new building takes into account the idea of a closely networked research environment. All necessary functions are brought together around a bright and light-flooded atrium in a clearly structured form of light-coloured clinker bricks and fair-faced concrete. The complex is supplemented to the north by an eight-metre high experimentation hall with a 30-metre long adjacent turbulent wind tunnel as the central large-scale research facility. (…)
